Privacy of personal data is at the very core of the Dancer Wellness Project (DWP) website. Your information is kept secured and you have access to the information via secured login.

Your information may be available to your Dancer Wellness Team, teacher, program director or whatever personnel is responsible for the Dancer Wellness activities at your affiliate.   You should contact a member of your wellness team to find out who has access to any information about you.  It should be their policy NOT to share or divulge any personal information about you without your specific consent.  The data security measures implmented on this website comply with the Health Information Privacy and Portability Act (HIPPA).  This law strictly prohibits the disclosure or sharing of personal medical information with out your explict and and written permission.

With your acknowledgement of the informed consent to the Dancer Wellness Project, the information collected about you and other artists may be used for research purposes. NO personal data or data that could be used to connect specfic data with you individually will ever be released without your specific consent; all data used for research is coded.

Complete control of all organization data resides with the organization.  No other participating affiliate can access any personal information.

A visitor can access and browse this website's general areas at any time without providing any personal information. No personally identifiable information is collected unless you are a participating member of one of the DWP's affiliates and have participated in one of the data collection projects. The DWP does not share any personally identifiable information about any participating individual except where required through legal processes or investigations.

Surveys

The DWP may occasionally survey its users for information on how to improve the website and the project. The information from these surveys are used in aggregate form to help understand the needs of the DWP users.

Email

"Phishing" is a scam designed to steal your personal information. If you receive an email that looks like it is from the DWP asking you for your personal information, do not respond. The DWP will never request your password, user name, credit card information or other personal information through email.

User Name and Password

To ensure necessary security measures, your username and password will be required to access many areas of the DWP website. You are solely responsible for keeping such username and password strictly confidential.

Non-Personal Information

The DWP collects non-personal information such as website usage, traffic patterns, site performance and related statistics based on our tracking of your visits to the DWP website.

The DWP web server automatically collects the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the computers that access the DWP site. Once the information is sent to our site, it is kept in secure databases where it is not available to users on the Internet.
